2007 NEWS

Our very own Joey Maher - student of Kerrianne Spellman - was recently cast in the Radio City Christmas Show at Rockefeller Center. Joey was selected from hundreds of boys and we are so proud of him. The Radio City Christmas Show is a New York City tradition and has been running for decades.
Music and Art Academy students and parents will remember Joey from MAA recitals as "The Boy" in Free to Be, You and Me, "Judas/John the Baptist" in Godspell and "Kenickie" in Grease.
Joey has been working professionally for two years and has filmed several commercials in addition to his break at Radio City. Bravo, Joey!

RACHEL BRUDNER

We would like to congratulate Rachel Brudner, student of Natela Iosebidze on her success in the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood California.
By winning first prize in a regional East Coast talent competition Rachel was given the opportunity to compete in the international championship in Hollywood California this past July and August.
Rachel has come home with 9 medals and is currently considering opportunities to further her career in Los Angeles or New York.
We are so proud of you Rachel!

Suzie Hicks, longtime MAA Musical Drama student is currently featured in "The Ghost�s Bargain", at the Two River Theater Company in Red Bank. This is a professional show and Suzie was chosen over hundreds of kids. Don�t miss Suzie in our MAA performance as Eponine in Les Miserables on December 15th.

Jaqueline Tsirkin, Musical Drama 1, is currently starring as Emma Spaulding on CBS TV�s daytime drama, "The Guiding Light." Guiding Light is the longest running daytime serial, and we are so proud of Jaqueline!

Michael Koutelos, Shaun Nerney, and Juliana Hymanson are all starting to work professionally. Juliana was recently in Mexico filming a video for Solar Power.

In addition, our musical drama teacher Kerrianne Spellman, has recently recorded a voiceover for Cascade, and filmed an on-camera commercial for Boar�s Head. Stay tuned!
